Youth Quorum/Class Secretaries apparently don't have LCR/Tools access to record attendance for their respective groups. The calling of YM secretary no longer exists.
HB 10.4.2: "When quorum secretaries are called, they prepare agendas for meetings and take notes. They also help the ward clerk or a quorum adviser keep track of attendance."
HB 11.3.4.2: "When class secretaries are called, they prepare agendas for meetings, take notes, and keep track of attendance."
Printing and keeping track of paper attendance rolls seems archaic and unnecessarily burdensome in the 21st century.
Allowing our youth to electronically record attendance seems like good mission prep. What is the rationale for withholding from our youth access to use modern technology to do their duty?

Re: Youth Quorum/Class Secretaries
The forum is user-to-user help. While you can make suggestions to get feedback, there's no guarantee it will get in front of the decision makers.
No explanation has been given, but my personal speculation is that it has to do with members who elect to go "leader only" in their privacy settings. The Youth Quorum may not have the responsibilities to meet the legal definition of "leader" causing them to not see "leader only" members. That would make it hard to record attendance electronically. (Paper plays by different rules)

@jagflynn, you can also see Youth Quorum Access to Class Members list for a similar discussion of access for youth secretaries and youth presidencies.
