Limited number of characters on a post

I consistently have trouble with Circles limiting the number of characters in a post. I've tried both typing out a full message, or using copy-paste from a pre-composed message, and either way it limits how many characters I can use. I do not see this happening with other people's posts that they make. I am an Android user - could this be the issue verses Apple users?
