Moving Records

Post by lmisner »

Is there a feature in LCR that shows whether a record was pulled by a ward or sent by a ward? I am not aware of such a feature, but my bishop said he seen it in LCR.

Reports>members moved in; members moved out.

If the membership is still in your ward you can see what ward it came from as well on the first page of the membership, column 3, prior ward.

There is no identifier as to whether a record was pulled into a ward (move records in) or whether another ward sent the record (move records out). How the record got moved, or who moved the record, is not available at the local level.

There is in the Members Moved In report where the previous unit is identified. In the individual records you cans see the units where the record has been over the past 12 months. Those are the only pieces of information available about a member's move into your unit.

Worst case situation, there's only 4 people in any given ward that can move a record. Not all of those positions may be filled. Hopefully the bishops and clerks are working as a team and would know if it was done by the ward. Perhaps it would be wise to create an internal paper trail for such requests.
