Watch videos on ward televisions.

#1

Post by jviola »

What is everyone using to watch videos on ward televisions? I know iPhone the church has purchased HDMI to iPhone connectors. We have some Android phones that some users can connect to the television but others struggle.
We have an old Roku but the remote control has corroded.
Anyone doing anything simpler? Or different?

Our stake buys adapters for iPhone and Android devices. It's a bit of a challenge to keep them from walking away. A member of our stake secured them with a steel cable and crimp tool for each TV screen.

Thanks to the EU, the list of adapters needed is shrinking to eventually only USB-C. That would be the one I'd focus on providing.
So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

It depends on the television and the model of phone. My phone can't output video wired, but it can work through Casting/Smart View, which our TVs support.
