We are looking to move from using Zoom to broadcasting thru Youtube and I need to figure out what the IP address is for each camera in our stake. I tried using CNM but the camera doesn't show up on it because i am not sure it is actually attached to the network. Another group of techs were able to figure it out for our tabernacle camera but I wasn't able to talk to them and find out how.
Any ideas or experience broadcasting with other apps than Zoom and how did you do it?
How do you find IP address for chapel camera?

Not sure if you got an answer but I’d just climb up there pull it down and reset it then put it back on the network.

Re: How do you find IP address for chapel camera?
The make/model of your camera would be very helpful. Finding your IP address really depends on how it's connected. If by USB or HDMI extender it won't have an IP address. if it's connected to the Facility zone you [probably] won't see it. If you've determined it has a LAN cable running to it, you might want to find the other end in the wiring closet and connect that end to a notebook PC. From there, you can follow the manufacture's instructions for finding the IP address.
Once you are talking to the camera, you can either set it to DHCP to get a somewhat random IP address from the DHCP server, or [preferred] you can assign it a fixed IP through CNM. For the latter, keep it using DHCP and you'll get the assigned IP address automagically. Now plug it into a switch in the Public zone and you should be golden.

The camera's User Manual will tell you several ways to view and change the camera's IP address. The CLEARTOUCH RL400/500 camera manual and the PTZ OPTICS camera manual are very very similar. Go to page 10 (ClearTouch) or page 35 (PtzOptics 20X Gen2) of the manual for details.
Pressing * + # + 4 on the IR Remote will display the IP address on the camera's video output. The default IP is in the 192.168.100.8x range.
Once you know the IP address of the camera you can change it by setting your PC to the same subnet and accessing the camera setup webpage at it's IP address (the login & password are admin, admin). A second method of changing the IP address is using the manufacturer's setup program (mentioned in the manual).

Re: How do you find IP address for chapel camera?
That's interesting as the default range for the Public zone in a church building is 192.168.108.1 - 192.168.111.254.
Since 192.168.100.8x is outside of that range, so I'd expect any attempts to contact it to be sent to the router. What the router decides to do with it, I don't know.
I guess you could use a static IP in the Public range with a manual Subnet Mask so as to be able to talk to 192.168.100.8x locally and still talk to the router.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Re: How do you find IP address for chapel camera?
The easiest (least technical) way to set the IP address of a PtzOptics camera to be on the "public" bldg network is to use the IR Remote and press # + * + 4, (* + # + 4 lets you view the IP) which will change the camera to DHCP mode (after a reboot). After the reboot you can use CNM to find the camera DHCP address - afterwhich you have the option in CNM to "assign" the address everytime the camera is powered on.
The easiest (least technical) way to set the IP address of a ClearTouch camera is probably to use their Setup program that is talked about on page 10 of the manual.
The harder "techy" way requires you to change network setting of your PC from DHCP to STATIC, then connecting directly to the camera web interface to change the IP address.
Personally, I prefer to leave the cameras on their default IP addresses and run their ethernet cables directly to the AV rack where they connect to my own router that is set to the 192.168.100.xxx range. My router WAN port connects to the bldg PUBLIC network and gets a DHCP IP address from the PUBLIC router. The cameras plug into my router LAN ports and go through POE Injectors so "I" can turn the camera power on/off. Nobody can access the cameras via the PUBLIC network. The cameras can only be accessed if you have a key to the AV rack and plug into my router's remaining LAN ports - or know the WIFI password of my router (I like having some level of security ! ). Once you run the camera LAN cable to the rack and use a POE Injector to turn camera power on/off you can use the camera builtin RTMP streaming feature to stream to youtube directly from the camera. Simply adding a 24/7 timer - to turn the power on/off - lets you stream every sacrament meeting without any human intervention! Note: You must also get the audio signal to camera and be able to turn it off during sacrament ordinance. There are wired and wireless methods of doing this. If interested please message me.

Here is a PtzOptics document that provides details for discovering and setting the camera IP address.
