Lost Members Report Problem

Post by zaneclark »

When a member is moved to the Lost report, much of the member record is removed. I sometimes move the record back into the ward to use other information on the full record to attempt to locate the person. The member records moved to the Lost report for the last few weeks are now missing the Last Known Address, which is often essential in locating them. I have reported this to Feedback, but haven't heard anything yet. I am hoping this is a bug that can be fixed. In the meantime, I am taking a screenshot of any lost member record before I move it to the Lost report in order to retain the missing information.

I have now submitted feedback 3 times on this issue without any response. Is this normal for feedback?

Based on Forum member posts, I would say this is quite normal. But Forum Members have widely different interpretations of what a non-response means. Some share that they have been told that each Feedback submission is processed, and that due to limited resources, individualized responses are not the norm. Others (understandably) have questions whether all Feedback is truly put into any type of effective database.

I will say that I have often seen times where the Church will come out with a solution to a problem that's been an active topic in the Forum with multiple Forum members stating they've submitted Feedback about it, without any Forum members ever receiving an indication that their Feedback was being considered and acted upon. So the reality is we're just on the outside and don't have any means to verify the status of individual Feedback.
