Covenant Path Progress in Tools and LCR - "finding pool"

Our wards are excited that the functionality of the Covenant Path Progress - RETURNING MEMBERS has been activated and announced. One suggestion that would be very helpful as we discuss potential returning members is to have a FINDING POOL area that will allow us to add names of individuals we are discussing that are potential Returning Members. The next step would then be to get their permission to actively assist them along the covenant path. Is there a way to simply have a list of potential returning members that are always top of mind... and then, once they give permission, they can then be added? Currently, you can only click on the + symbol to add a new Returning Member, and then toggle the indicator that they have given permission. If you don't toggle the switch, there is no place to add a person prior to getting their permission. Thank you.

For your awareness, the Tech Forum is comprised primarily of regular Church members like yourself, and is mostly focused on user-to-user discussion and self-help. Sometimes Forum members can help identify workarounds when we experience a roadblock with church tech, so posting questions here can often result in answers that help us accomplish what we're trying to do. But with regards to actual changes to Church tools, there is no direct connection between anything posted here, and the Church's support system.

If you submit your thoughts using the Feedback tool (available at the bottom of most Church webpages, as well as in the Church apps), this will get your request into the Church's system for their consideration.

We would love to have access to a tool similar to the one that you described. We are Military Relations Missionaries in Germany. We continue to find members who at this time are not interested in being affiliated with the church. Tracking them is nearly impossible. They don’t want to share dates of birth so we can’t get them into the membership directory. They don’t want to be in the Covenant Path program because they have no intention at this time to return to activity. It would be great to have a listing that allows the local unit to know of these folks and have some information about them even though they aren’t at this time knowing anything about us.

Thanks for sharing, I can easily see how this potential change could help manage those you are finding. It's similar to the "Teaching Pool" concept I had on my mission. Those that weren't quite ready to advance, but were still great contacts that had the potential of making commitments. And, especially as missionaries transferred, then there would be information available for the next missionaries to continue the work... and just maybe, one of them would be the ones that could connect with these individuals.

We have been training each ward on the power of My Covenant Path... it really is incredible. This one small change could make such an impact. Changes don't come from this forum, but from the support section of the apps or the LCR website, so if you could send a similar message to them... and I will send another... hope to see this addition become reality. Also, thanks for serving these amazing people! What an awesome mission - you are blessing lives!! So grateful for your faith and diligence. God bless!!
