Out of unit record
We are serving in a Stake Calling out of our home stake. Currently we do not see our records in LDS tools in our home stake nor the Stake where we are calling. Ideally it would be nice to have our records in both stakes so members can find us. How can we do that?

Re: Out of unit record
With just the information you provided there is a good chance your record is not in your home stake. Contact your home ward clerk to see if your records are still in your home ward.
The stake you are serving in will also have to create an out of record for your information to show in their stake and that requires them to get your membership name, MRN, and a local address from you.
If you gave your info to the stake you are serving in and they created out of unit member records with a stake calling then an app sync may not have updated data to show your names in the stake in your Member Tools app. To pull in all new data into Member Tools do a data refresh. This is done by tapping 'Refresh Data' in the Member Tools Settings menu. You can also ask your service stake clerk if out of unit records have been created and if your names show in that stake's LCR > Membership > Member Directory.

Re: Out of unit record
When my wife and I went through a similar process, we used the online Church directory as the first verifier. Once things appeared correctly there, we then made sure the Tools app reflected that as well. Besides the data refresh, Tools will often have a delay (perhaps even more than a day), in syncing information that may already appear online. And there's rare but reported times where members struggle to get data to show up on the Tools app. So we tried to avoid using Tools as the first step in determining if things were "correct" or not.
If you go to the online directory, the drop-down at the upper-left corner will show the stake(s) your records belong to. Depending on what you see in the drop-down, that can also help indicate what still needs to be addressed.
Of course, the "Directory" tile in the Tools app also shows the stake(s) your records belong to. You stated Tools doesn't show you being in your home or the other stake. What do you see when you go to this Directory tile in your Tools app -- is it blank or show something else?
