No option to print custom reports

Post by aplucinik »

I'm in "Create a Report". I swear, I have printed custom reports in the past but there is no longer an option to do that. I have the ability to create, edit, and then generate the custom reports to the screen display but no option to actually print any report to either PDF file or print to paper.

I just checked and the print function button has been removed. That appears to be a recent change. Those reports can be printed from the web browser print function. But it will not have the clean formatting provided previously.

Right. Thank you for your response. Printing from the web browser print function or simply pressing CTRL-P on my keyboard does not print a nicely formatted report which is unacceptable. I hope this is just a temporary bug. I can't imagine why the ability to print a formatted report would be taken away. That would make Custom Reports almost useless. I've sent feedback to the Church about this issue.

I want to keep this thread active to help impress how problematic it is not to have this print function anymore. I submitted feedback on the website about it. As a stake clerk, there are various requests from leaders to have reports that they cannot access any other way (e.g. stake primary president requesting a list of all primary children turning eight years old in a year). When will this be fixed?

For anyone who reads this post. Please send feedback to the Church about this critical issue. The more feedback they get, the quicker they'll fix it. Click on the "Send Feedback" button at the bottom of the screen while in the "Create a Report" screen.

As mentioned in the post after yours, the feedback mechanism is the only way that any of us can communicate with the Church development teams. We're all on the outside just like yourself, with no awareness of any priorities or timelines for resolving issues. As end-users we all might be in 100% agreement with your view, but the Forum primarily serves as a place for user-to-user discussion and self-help, so there's nothing here that can help push the Church to action on any issue.

Although not conclusive, there does seem to be correlation at times between the amount of different people making feedback requests about the same topic, and the priority the Church gives to resolving that particular issue. And since it's our only option, I agree that crowd-sourcing feedback isn't a bad idea at all.

Another option (in addition to official feedback) is to ask your stake president to bring it up in the coordinating council with his general authority and help him understand that removing the print function impedes the stake's efforts to "minister to the one."

I found the same issue when trying to copy and paste from Custom Reports when using Firefox as my browser. However, using the same report within Custom Reports from the Chrome browser, I am able to copy and paste the data as before with acceptable results.

I received an email from the developers today:

"This is a known issue that is being worked on by the development team. They are hoping to have it fixed in Q1 of 2026."
