Building Floor Plans anywhere?

As one who was just called as Stake Technology Specialist I am wondering if there is anywhere to download floor plans of the standard building in use.

Granted we have one in the Stake that is not a standard floor plan by any wild stretch of the imagination, but I think a good layout of each building would be useful.

My intent is to indicate where various inputs and outputs from the sound and video systems are.

Thanks

I doubt you can download them, but the FM Group should be able to get some plans.

For every building, the systems will be sightly diffrent, based on what was requested when they were built/updated. Your FM should have access to a copy of the AS-Built Drawings for each building which will show what A/V in/out(s) are where for each and every building. Usually there is also a copy of the sound/video drawings in the front door of the sound cabinets, but is should be locked so you will still need to get with your FM group to access them.

I found some copies of floor plans in the cleaning room of my building; have you looked there?

The standard plans are on the church's web site

This is probably a good place to start:

http://aec.ldschurch.org/aec/standard_plans/

Once you select a style, try clicking on the "planning brochure" link. This will give you some good floor plans to work from for the current building styles. The technically detailed plans will require a special password.

Good luck!

This is a very old thread, but I reached it in my search as an EQ Pres. who is attempting to put together some emergency evacuation plans for Alton IL Ward. I am also looking for some decent, preferably to scale floor plans for our building. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd suggest contacting the FM group.

Not only should they have floor plans, but they might already have evacuation plans or are responsible for them.

Edit: They most certainly would be responsible for posting them around the building in compliance to local law - which is what I suspect is triggering this errand.

As built plans should be in the building somewhere. Ours are on a shelf in the FM Group maintenance closet.
