Hi,
I recently found out about LDS Ward Tools as I was just set apart as a counselor in the bishopric. I have a Samsung Blackjack and an older Mac that doesn't run Windows. I'm using Windows Mobile through Missing Sync. Is there a way to make this work? i've already got the MLS reports on a jump drive and have tried to install them. If there is documentation on how to make this work I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Kip,

You'll need to copy the DataConverter.exe (included in the wardtools.zip download) to your jump drive. When you are on your Ward computer exporting the MLS data, run the DataConverter.exe from your jump drive and convert the exported .csv files to the Ward Tools .pdb files. When you take home the converted files you'll be able to use Missing Sync to install them to your device (just copy them to your "My Documents" folder on your device.

Another solution is to use a MicroSD card with a USB reader. Your BlackJack will take a MicroSD card (and may already have one). You create a folder on the MicroSD card named "WardTools Data". If you place the converted pdb files in that folder and then put the MicroSD card into your BlackJack, Ward Tools will be able to find your data.

I'm not sure how the moderators feel about Ward Tools questions on this site so if you have more questions you can always get direct help at support@ldstools.com.

The important part is not to promote the software since it can be seen as advertising a commercial product. Answering questions about how to use it is alright.
