Stack 3.0-rc6 Released

The Java Stack Team is pleased to announce the release of Stack 3.0 RC6. Since it appears middleware is getting close to being able to support Tomcat in production the next release may be our final Stack 3.0 release candidate. Some of the more significant items from this release:
* Websphere development and deployment support. Since Websphere is already supported by middleware in production any project can start using Stack 3 today if deploying in Websphere. If your project is interested contact a member of the Stack team and we'll get you set up as beta testers of our Websphere support.
* Alpha support for Spring Roo. We now have support in Stack Starter to create a Spring Roo project. This template actually just sets up the Stack around an essentially blank web project that Roo can be used to construct. Look for more refined Roo integration in future releases.
* A fair amount of cleanup of our pet store applications. Expect more of this before we go final.
* Several library upgrades (Hibernate 3.5.4, Hibernate Validator 4.1, etc)
To upgrade simply update your root pom's stack-master version to "3.0-rc6". Any other questions please respond to this post or contact a member of the Java Stack team.
