This feature is scheduled to be added back within the first two weeks after the 2.0 calendar release. It is the next thing we will work on in the priority list.

But note that version 2 will not immediately restore the email notification feature. That is scheduled to be restored 2-3 weeks after the release.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

By the end of this month, according to the FAQ When will the e-mail notification settings be added to the new Calendar? (that's a bit later than I said in a previous post).
