Funding youth camps
All ward and stake activities are to be funded from the budget allowance, with a few exceptions. One of those exceptions is a single annual camp for young men or young women, or a single annual day camp or similar activity for Primary children aged 8-11.
Source of funds
The single annual camp is to be funded from the following sources (in order)[1]:
- Stake and ward budget funds.
- Participants earn money to pay all or part (only if budget funds are insufficient)
- Group fund-raising activities that comply with guidelines.
Note that there is no option for parents paying for any part of YM/YW camps, although that is common practice in some areas.
