FHC LanDESK not connecting

#1

Post by lrawlins »

Hi,

I am noticing that LanDESK is not working on some of my FHC machines and wonder if this is the time to switch them all over to Tivoli.

If now is the time to make the change is there any documentation on the procedure to follow so I don't really mess things up?

Thanks

I had to re image a FHC computer last week and found that running the LanDesk checker/validater program's failed to complete installation of the security certificates and all the things that are dependant on that.

I then ran the Tivoli program (must now be done behind the Church firewall to install) and it installed all the security/antivirus software required!

I haven't seen any documentation, yet, stating that this is now the procedure required. All I've seen is that Tivoli would be the preferred install method. It would seem that the documentation needs to be updated to reflect the current state of affairs!

Therefore I don't think you will have any problems!
