This is my suspicion as well. Something is telling LDS Tools to show the field, but the data is not available for the user so it shows expired. I have had multiple people ask me about this as well. The latest person to ask me was a counselor in the Primary Presidency, so it appears it might be anyone in a leadership position. (Not sure why they don't just pull out their recommend and look at it though... :geek: )

So this may be a feature that isn't fully in place yet. Perhaps Tools has jumped ahead of the data feed. It may be worth waiting a couple of weeks to see if this resolves itself.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Good catch. At least on Android, the 2.5.0 Beta is available to download here: http://tech.lds.org/dl/android/org.lds.ldstools/ so if one is impatient and has a willing test subject, the answer could probably be had quickly.

There seems to have been a recent update on the Android side. I now see quite a bit of information about myself.

If you see an updated app in the app store, it might be time to load it and see if this problems is resolved.
