Re: Epic movie
For the Bible, there are thousands of films that have been made by Latter-day Saints and other Christians. Many independent movies have also been made depicting Book of Mormon and Church history stories from all kinds of points of view.
The Church also makes many videos, and releases Mormon Messages or other short videos almost on a daily basis. When it comes to scripture-based videos, recently there was the Bible Videos series with almost 100 videos from the New Testament, the life and teachings of Christ and his original apostles. There have been longer films, like Meet the Mormons, Prophet of the Restoration, The Testaments, and Legacy. There are hundreds of clips for seminary and Sunday school available.
In making videos, the Church is not interested so much in telling all of the interesting action stories in the scriptures as it is in teaching doctrine – the gospel of Jesus Christ and the plan of salvation – in a way that people today can relate to and easily apply in their lives.
