Online form in wrong langauge - Missionary Online Recommendation System

How do you change the language of the text in the Missionary online Recommendation system?

We have a missionary sees Spanish text/prompts when he logs in. The Bishop can not figure out how to change it on his end. I have no access to go look and figure it out, and I can not find anything online.

Ideas?

This seems to be a common problem with lds.org - it will randomly change a page to another language. Usually that can be fixed by changing the URL.

Look for the part that says "lang=" and change it to say "lang=eng".
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

My son is having the same problem. We speak English and when he logs into the missionary online recommendation system everything is in Spanish. I checked the URL and there’s nowhere that it says “Lang=“ . Please help!

This is a shot in the dark, but maybe it might help: Delete all cookies related to lds.org and any other Church sites. Also, clear the browser cache. Every once in a while, some cookie will get set to a bad value, and that will cause unpredictable strange behavior.

We now have two in our Stake with the same issue in the Missionary Online Recommendation system, in addition to the one Holly is reporting above. I guess we are waiting until Tuesday when Church HQ has the right people there to look into it.

Missionary department said they had a glitch and to delete them and recreate.

Thank you. Our Daughter received her mission call letter in the language that she will be learning. While that was a fun experience, we are hoping to find a way for her to read her call in English. Also, the material in her missionary portal is in her mission language. Is there anything we need to do on our side to get her mission call letter and missionary portal instructions in English? If so please advise. Thank you so much!

Oh that is a different thing. I would either call the missionary department or call your Stake Clerk and tell him what is going on and ask him to contact the Missionary department.
