syncing or updating desktop and mobile app

Hi,

I would like to know how to get my smartphone and desktop to sync for highlighting and notes, as I want to take the new info with me where ever I am.

Make sure you are logging in with the same LDS Account. It should sync automatically.

What version of Gospel Library are you running on your phone? Older versions won't sync, and newer versions have a minimum OS level requirement.

I am logging in with same account. The iPhone 6S app version is 5.2.2 11081. Do I have to hook up by cable when at a desktop?

How are you using the desktop? GL on the phone syncs to the website. You should see it there. If you're running GL on the desktop then, it should be syncing with the website.

I am going to LDS.org and logging in. Then going to the article I am working on.

Ok, then for some reason the GL on your phone isn't syncing. I've moved the thread to the GL for iOS section where it will more likely be seen by those who know more about that.

When you go into Gospel Library settings, do you see your username (deforesttg)? Do you see any sync errors listed just under your username, or does it say "Last Sync:" with a date?
On the Church website, are you using the older content pages, or the newer content pages under Study.ChurchofJesusChrist.org?
If you're studying a conference talk, are you looking in the same content on both your phone and the Church website? Duplicate versions of the conference talks are published under General Conference, Ensign, and Liahona, so if you highlight in one of those places, it won't show up in the others.

I see my user name and it shows the last sink which was at that moment. On the church website I go to LDS.org and go into general conference for the specific talk.

I just went into the new website you stated above. It does sync up with that website. However, the new website shows at the top bar, that it is LDS.org. What is the difference between the new church of Jesus Christ and the old LDS.org? Just curious. Thanks

ChurchofJesusChrist.org is the Church's new domain name that will be replacing LDS.org. For now, whichever URL you use, it goes to the same place – currently, ChurchofJesusChrist.org redirects to LDS.org, but soon things will be switched so that LDS.org will redirect to ChurchofJesusChrist.org. I used the ChurchofJesusChrist.org URL above because it's more relevant to anyone visiting the forum in the future.
