Syncing iPhone and iPad in gospel library

I'm experiencing sync issues between the iOS app and the web. The iOS app won't sync automatically. To force push updates, as I saw on this thread, I have to force close the app and then actually open it back up again. I'm using the latest version of iOS and the Gospel Library app.

Have a 2019 IPad currently running IOS 13.5.1. As of two weeks ago, it just stopped syncing. I have forced closed the app but no difference. The only time it synced was when I logged out and then back in but don't really want to do that every time. Any suggestions?

There's a beta (5.8.1) going out this weekend that should fix the issue some users are seeing where it shows that it hasn't synced for several days (or weeks). If all goes well, it should be released on the App Store early next week. The issue has to do with the recent change from one authentication system to another on all Church websites and apps.

Gospel Library 5.8.1 for iOS was released today. It will most likely prompt you to sign in again after it launches, then sync should start working again!
