80% of the time I look for info the website breaks

Post by edebenham »

I don't know what is going on with the programmers at church headquarters but for the last year about 80% of the time I try to use the website to look up info or read information links break. I get user errors. I really don't see the point of trying to visit anymore. It should take 15 mins to look up info for a lesson and instead I spend an hour fighting with the website trying to get it to let me read anything. Please, make the church website functional again. Seriously.

First, please be aware that this is a user-to-user discussion forum, not an official help/support request channel. In order to report a problem or request help on an official channel, please use the 'Feedback' button or link.

Second, there are a few workarounds that might reduce the amount of difficulty you're seeing. Clearing your browser's cache and deleting relevant cookies can sometimes clear up odd symptoms, because sometimes the cache or cookies get corrupted.

Third, to help anyone else who might see similar symptoms and to help anyone here who might try to offer other/helpful suggestions, can you give an example of such a broken link, including the page where the link came from? Also, for a given link, is it _always_ broken? Or, can retrying the same link later on work?

Have you tried a different browser? I found that things often stopped working with Mac Safari, but when I changed to Firefox things worked much better.
