Being Ordained out of home unit

How do we handle having a brother ordained to be a High Priest by his father, in the father's unit?

After the interviews are completed, we print the form and give it to the brother to take with him. We ask someone in the other stake to witness the ordination and sign the form, which is returned to us.

Despite the "Church Employee" badge over there, this is not an official answer.

I would have the stake president contact the stake president in the father's stake and ask him to help arrange for a member of the stake presidency or a high councilor to be present for the ordination. Print a Melchizedek Priesthood Ordination Record and send it with the member being ordained. The person who has been designated to represent the stake president should complete the ordination record and give it to the member to be returned to the stake clerk in his home stake so that it can be recorded.

Exactly what we did, but you explained it better than I did. Thanks!
