Manage Photos has ghost photos to approve

#1

Post by scarlson51 »

Anyone know who I can talk to about ghost photos needing to be approved. It shows I have 2 to approve but when I go into Manage Photos there arent any photos there. Other photos have correctly shown and have been approved. I need the "2" gone or I'm going to go crazy.

By "Manage Photos", do you mean the "Manage Photos" page or the "Manage" tab on that page? If the latter, the "Manage" tab appears to be for old photos, not new ones.

You might try clearing browser cache and clearing cookies. It's a long shot, but there's a slight possibility it might help.

This is a known issue and we're working on a fix.

I'm having a similar problem. How do you clear browser cache and/or cookies?

It depends on your browser. In Firefox, it's hamburger menu (upper right-hand corner) -> Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Cookies and Site Data. If you have other websites you want to remember you, use Clear Data to clear the cache and Manage Data to delete Church-related cookies. If you don't have other websites you want to remember you, use Clear Data to clear/delete cache and cookies.

The other option always available beyond clearing cache, is to open a private browser session/tab, which (temporarily) accomplishes much of the same purposes.

As you do all of this, remember that there is a known bug in the system. When you have finished your work, it will almost always appear that you have one more photo to approve that is not really there.

Clearing browser cache and cookies or using an incognito/private session won't fix this.
