LCR add custom fields?

I'm a clerk in a YSA Ward here in Orlando, Florida. We have a very unique ward in that, at any point in time, almost half of it (~100-120) is made up of individuals who are participants in the Disney College Program (aka DCP). This is like an internship for students that lasts anywhere from four to six months. (Disney also offers professional internships, which have the same criteria but they are in a specialized area.) Oftentimes, we will see them when they first arrive, and can transfer their records to our ward, but, due to the nature of their position at Disney, we may not see them again for the duration of their program. They also have the option to extend their program for an additional time. We're trying to make identifying those individuals easier so we can be better organized and serve their needs.

I have thought of creating a spreadsheet, but I figured it might be more efficient if we can use the system that's already provided via LCR. (Please also advise if creating a membership spreadsheet for distribution to leaders only is not allowed as we are extracting information from a password-protected site.)

With that in mind, we would like to be able to use LCR to include additional fields in a member's profile, such as: if they are in the DCP or and intern, whether they have a car (and can drive others), emergency contact, housing complex they're living in, expected date of departure, etc. If it's possible to add custom fields within their membership profile, that would be great so we can utilize the search and filter capabilities; or, if there is a way to add a blank text field (much like in this forum) to add information, that would also work.

Can anyone possibly help?

I know that MLS had the ability to add custom fields, and it may still have that. However, I doubt that LCR has that ability. But I do not have access to LCR.

LCR does not have the ability to add custom fields.

I'm afraid that LCR does not support any kind of custom field. Whatever you do you'll want to make sure to review the article Keeping Church Information Safe in the Help Center.

You can submit feedback about your situation using the Feedback link in LCR to make requests. But any change would likely be quite a while in the future. In addition, the likelihood of adding custom fields is probably low because privacy laws in some areas restrict what information the church can keep in it's systems.
