Food Storage/Cannery Website

#1

Post by falisrm-p40 »

I just thought of a project i wanted to do. I have an idea to create a website to sell food storage/cannery products online in collaboration with my local LDS cannery. So members would be able to order online their food storage items and also sign up to do canning with the cannery's schedule. So i will receive the information from the cannery and work with them on orders. I, of course, will do this voluntarily so no cost to the church. So would the church sponser a project like this or approve a project like this?

I think members would enjoy it very much or find it very convenient. I think i have all the logistics figured out so i don't see any problems. I'll have to do more research to see if i can add other canneries and/or make it church wide.

I know the church sells kits from the distribution website but it's at a higher cost due to shipping costs. So members would like to use the local cannery for a lower cost.

I like your idea of using it to schedule canning sessions.

All products are marked "not for resale" so this can't be done. I would be curious to know who you are, as we are the managers of the Home Storage Center (aka Cannery) in Bremerton.
