Liahona doesn't work on iphone

While traveling last week in San Salvador, my sister discovered that her new iphone wouldn't hook up to Liahona. Her computer would hook up, and her husbands iphone would connect, but after trying several tricks, she never could get it working. Is there a known error with new iphones she might have missed?

Try rejecting Liahona and then reentering the password. There is a known issue with iPhones when their operating system updates. Could well be a similar issue when traveling. The workaround fixes things for me after an iPhone system update.

Does anyone have an update on this? I've got leaders in one of my buildings who tell me they are not able to connect to the WiFi with their iPhone & Ipad but when I walk into the same room with them I get connected with my Android phone & tablet.

Android seems to be very good at detecting that a login is needed.

Win10, not so much. I've found that I have to enter a website URL I haven't visited in ages to trigger the splash screen.

iOS might be in the same situation, or it might have some setting that tries to use some other DNS (which isn't allowed on Liahona), or perhaps a VPN (iffy).

I have found that disabling the switch “Limit IP Address Tracking” in the SSID information for iOS devices seems to work.
