It looks like the calendar function doesn't allow edits to events that are already on the calendar. I just tried to change the time for an event on the calendar and it didn't actually change. I don't know if this matters, but the event is a recurring event. I also tried to change the "End Repeat" date and that date didn't actually change either. I did not get an error message when I tried to make either change. Is this happening to anyone else?
I'm trying to edit an event that I created.

Re: Unable to Edit Existing Event
I edit events that are already on the calendar all the time. We usually put place holder events up and then as more details emerge, I go in and update them. Do you know if the time you are trying to change it to conflicts with another event (to include setup and cleanup)? Also assuming you haven't changed wards or callings since you created the event.Hilohi wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 11:30 pm It looks like the calendar function doesn't allow edits to events that are already on the calendar. Or the rights for the calendar the event is on hasn't changed.tonynocchi wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2025 8:20 am Also assuming you haven't changed wards or callings since you created the event.

Re: Unable to Edit Existing Event
No conflicts. In fact, most of my events are the only events for that day on the calendar. I haven't changed wards or callings either.
Pretty sure the rights for the calendar the event is on hasn't changed. I'm able to delete the events. Speaking of which, I deleted one of the events, recreated it, when back into it to see if I could edit it and I could not.

Re: Unable to Edit Existing Event
I'm also having trouble editing existing events. Any further suggestions?

You might try using your browser in incognito mode. Church webpages tend to suffer from cookie buildup.
Note the prior messages about making sure you have edit rights to the calendar the event is on. That will change if you change callings or moved wards. It may also be someone changed the rights.

Thanks for the suggestion. Incognidto mode did not solve the problem. Last modified says I modified, but the change I made does not show up. It was a simple change: move the last sentence in one paragraph to a new paragraph.

First, I'd make sure you're getting the updated data. Do a hard refresh (Ctrl-F5). That forces the browser to pull from the server instead of the cache.WillWatkins wrote: ↑Thu Jul 10, 2025 7:30 pm Thanks for the suggestion. Incognidto mode did not solve the problem. If that doesn't work, there might be a bug where a change in the text isn't seen as a change. Try making some other kind of change at the same time.
