Scriptural text garbled
Was reading in my Library app today, when all of a sudden, I came across some garbled text, ex. 3 Nephi 11:7 reading "ata-aid="128347948" id="p7">butt="verse-number">7 Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have glorified my name—hear ye him." Just wondering whether this is a known issue or not?

Pending other responses, it's always helpful to share details about your situation. Cellphone type, OS version, whether you've recently installed Gospel Library or if the app has been on your phone for a while, etc.hw80inzo wrote: ↑Fri Apr 11, 2025 9:21 am Was reading in my Library app today, when all of a sudden, I came across some garbled text, ex. 3 Nephi 11:7 reading "ata-aid="128347948" id="p7">butt="verse-number">7 Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have glorified my name—hear ye him." I checked on my Android and that verse was fine. But I also didn't have any markup on it.

Re: Scriptural text garbled
I've seen things like this happen when coming from search results or doing a find-on-page – sometimes HTML tags that mark the matching words on the page are inserted incorrectly in the middle of another HTML tag, breaking the HTML layout and creating garbled text. Do you remember if you had come from search or find on page when you noticed the issue?
Here is the HTML source code for that verse, with the part of the source code you saw marked as bold:
<p class="verse" data-aid="128347948" id="p7"><span clаss="verse-number">7 </span> … </p>
(The Tech forum PHP may be censoring certain words it detects in the pasted code.)
If you're still seeing the issue, you could try going to the Scriptures section of the app, long-pressing Book of Mormon, and choosing "Remove," then tapping it again to redownload. It may be that there was a temporary content problem.
