Lost study plans and tags & notebooks

Post by doracinta »

my gospel library app stopped working, so I deleted it and downloaded it again, only for my study plans and tags & notebooks to all be deleted

I was 100% certain that I was logged in my church account as well during my studies on the app!! But all of my notes, and highlights and study plans and tags have all been deleted 🥲🥲

Is there any chance if there's a way I could retrieve all my stuff from notebook back on the app pls ??

Did you sign back in after reinstalling the app?
Do you see your recent notes, tags, and notebooks at Notes.ChurchofJesusChrist.org?

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago! I'm so sad two years of journal entries and notes are gone.
I logged in on Notes.churchofjesuschrist.org and it shows the same as on the app (which I reinstalled), still missing the last two years 🤷‍♀️

I have been tracking study plans. I have an Android A50 & Dell Windows 11 pro desktop. I noticed that my study plans were not synching between devices. I took screen shots & emailed to the appropriate folks. Android app would not synch, 18 hours, so I removed, restarted & reinstalled app. It appears all my notes, highlights & items are there EXCEPT for the study plan. I found a section in the Gospel Library app section that says all the data is stored on church servers & downloaded each time you open the app, windows or phone. What is NOT stated is when is the changed data uploaded to the servers. I referenced Microsoft one note where there is only about a 10 second change from when I make a change on my computer that it shows up on the phone, both have the respective app open. IF they synch system is not like that, and relies on the app closing to upload the changes, then there is a real danger of not knowing who the master file is. Any response will be posted here. Good Luck.

I'm sorry you lost your study plan. :( If you're using Android or iOS Gospel Library, any changes you make there to your personal data (highlights, notes, study plans, etc.) should sync up to the Church server after 30 seconds with no changes (i.e. if you add another note, the 30-second timer resets).
