Online tithing keeps coming back to my account

Heya, I’ve had a problem for years now since the “new”system has been put in place where I can’t send my tithing online. Everytime it goes out of my account it comes back within the next few days saying it’s been reversed due to “no authority loaded”. How do I fix this?

Do other online tools work for you, like the ward directory at Directory.ChurchofJesusChrist.org? Do you have your membership record number attached to your Church Account at Account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org?
If those things seem to be correct, I'd recommend sending a bug report using the "Feedback" link at the bottom of the page at Donations.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

It might be worth a phone call to the bank. it's possible they've taken a security measure to prevent any "vendor" who hasn't been pre-approved from withdrawing funds from your account.

The whole idea that I can put in my account info into some vendor website and it gets pulled from my account without my bank hearing from me sounds like a security nightmare even larger than credit card fraud.

The ACH banking system has worked well for many decades. Claw back's can be done within the security system, however. I am not aware of any pre-approval the Church has instituted with on-line tithing etc. payments, although individual banks may have their own requirments.

Right. I'm thinking this may be an issue on the bank side, not the church.
