I’m not really sure how to explain what we are experiencing. In testing Microsoft Translator in conversation mode on a Chromebook laptop, audio goes in from the pulpit, then the app sends the translation to a browser version of Microsoft Translator. Then a mono audio cable feeds into our headset transmitter, and the translation audio is available to anyone with a headset.
When the chapel is empty it works great. We can change voices, keep the app open for well over an hour, etc. but as soon as the chapel starts to fill up the app stops working and we can’t start it again. It gives the message “Converation cannot be started, try again later”. We’ve tried using an Ethernet connection, the Lehi network, anything we can think of.
Then as soon as the chapel starts to empty out, it works again.
Any ideas? I’m stumped.

Do you turn off the Liahona SSID? If there are too many connections, even if the devices connected aren’t using the internet, they will drain the bandwidth available. This is a problem we usually encounter at Stake Conference time. Turning off the Liahona SSID and just using Lehi for those essential devices that are being used during the webcast makes a tremendous difference.

Afternoon are you aware there is a new option for Translation in our buildings - from the pulpit mic !
"Chapel Translate"
https://chapeltranslate.com/
We have 5 devices now in our area - this work very well, with minimal data use.
As others have said turning off Liahona will help in your situation - it still depends on your ISP to the building.
I have tested and used Microsoft Translate - while helpful it is not consistent , kick you off line etc.
I would also suggest asking people not to connect unless they need to.

We have looked at this solution and we have signed up for the waitlist, but we have not received any information about when the devices would be available. If you have any information it would be greatly appreciated!
