This Sunday 7th September I wasn’t able to sign in to any Church website (LCR, Finance or the main Church website) using the chapel internet (Ethernet or WiFi). I checked with other Clerks in the Stake and also a Clerk in another part of the country all reported the same issue. One of the Clerks in my Stake found that he could login on his mobile phone, but not the meeting house internet. This was also confirmed by the Clerk in another part of the country.

This Clerk then notified me just before 12 noon that he could now login via the meeting house internet. Confirmed by myself just after 12 noon. On reflection I had found that I couldn’t login, earlier in the day, when at home, but didn’t think much about there being an issue.

All this happened before the USA was ‘awake’ when most of the Church websites then have overload issues. The times mentioned above refer UK times. Which are between 7-8 hours before Salt Lake time.

I have been seeing this in my Stake as well as others. Most devices never get the pop up screen to get an Internet connection, nor do the clerk computers get a connection. It appears to be a some type of a backend authentication issue when getting connected to the network.
