QR code Generator

Post by Stevemendoza2012 »

We are trying to create a QR code for our ward web page. What App or website is recommended? Some are free, but limit how many times it can be scanned, or it seems it wants to insert an advertisement along with the code. What is suggested for creating one?

Thanks

I have had a lot of success using the Chrome browser's native QR code generation. For me, I access it using the "three vertical dots" in the upper-right, then selecting "Cast, save, and share", and then selecting "Create QR Code".

I used https://www.qr-code-generator.com/ to create QR codes to go on door signs for all the buildings in our stake, so visitors can scan the QR code on the sign to get more information about the building and the units that meet there. I attached the files so you can see what I mean. The generated QR codes work fine.

QRCode Monkey is another good resource for generating QR codes: https://www.qrcode-monkey.com

I am one of the folks who has never scanned a QR code in his/her life.
I always use pen and paper & a bit of linear algebra :.

If you want something simple with no scan limits or ads, try goqr.me, it’s completely free and creates static QR codes that never expire. You can download them as PNG or SVG files for print too.

Chrome web browser has a QR code generator built-in.
- Click on the three dot menu up in the top bar
- Click on "Cast, Save, and Share"
- Click on "Create QR Code"

It does put a dinosaur in the middle. Too bad the church doesn't come up with one that has a church icon in the middle.
