Using Artificial Intelligence During Meetings
The idea of using fireflies.ai to record, transcribe, summarize, and analyze our ward council meetings was proposed. What are your comments, concerns, and suggestions regarding such use of AI.

What is their privacy policy? Sensitive topics may be discussed in the meetings. How do you know they follow the policy? Is the company and it's owners trustworthy?

Re: Using Artificial Intelligence During Meetings
In the Forum we're often pointed to the Handbook policy found in GHB 38.8.31, where it's stated that Ward and stake leaders should not store or share confidential Church information outside of Church-provided applications, systems, or internet services. And that this includes items like temporal needs, which is a common topic in ward councils. Since the Handbook doesn't make any distinction between internet-based or offline "non-Church-provided applications", I'd personally be careful when considering an AI tool for this purpose.
That said, in practice every leader has to create their own method for storing details about temporal and spiritual needs, since the Church doesn't provide a way to record and track detailed member needs. Since you asked for opinions (and you'll likely get 20 different opinions if you ask 6 people
), my preference was always to use the simplest method I could find to store and track member info -- and avoid adding in additional tools that might make life easier, but would add to the number of non-Church-provided applications I was using. But that was my preference, I know others have different perspectives.
