For the online sacrament program, looking to link to the hymn lyrics.
One option is the page that shows sheet music with a tab to switch to just lyrics. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/med ... e?lang=eng
People seem to not see the tab, just decide the sheets are too big for their phone and stop using the link.
Another option is the study manual link. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/stu ... atform=web
It just shows the lyrics but when opened on a phone as a link it loads the Gospel Library app, which would be fine except the back button doesn't bring the person back to the program webpage afterward. The link actually opens a new instance of the app and there is no back. The person has to switch apps, which some people get confused by.
Anyone know of a way to link to just lyrics that stays in the browser so the back button works? I tried adding &platform=web but the Gospel Library app still kicks in.
Thank you for any guidance you can offer.

I am so frustrated to access lyrics only. I still don't find the page. The menu is not user friendly at all. The app should be improved ASAP.

This Tech Forum is primarily for user-to-user discussion, and is not connected to the Church support system. If you want to ask for changes to any Church webpages or Church apps, you should do so via the Feedback mechanism available at the bottom of most Church webpages, or inside any of the Church apps. That will get your input to the correct Church team that is responsible for the issue you describe.interlangs wrote: Sun Oct 27, 2024 10:27 am I am so frustrated to access lyrics only. In both the Hymns and the Hymns for Home and Church sections of the Gospel Library App (I'm on the Android version - the iOS version should be similar):interlangs wrote: Sun Oct 27, 2024 10:27 am I am so frustrated to access lyrics only. 1. Select the hymn you want to sing
2. At the top of the page, you can select the tab for the Music or the tab for just the Lyrics.
In the Gospel Library online, once you select a hymn (just like the app above), there are buttons at the top of the page to show the pdf music, the lyrics only, or the interactive sheet music.

Perhaps I don't understand. This thread is about the Main Church Website and when I go to the music from the main church website (Libraries | Music Library) there are options to go to the current hymnal or the new Hymns for Home and Church. When you go to either one and select a hymn, the view that opens looks like the music and lyrics just like in the book. There is a box at the top (just above the audio player) which allows you to get a .pdf of the sheet music, show lyrics only, or get interactive sheet music. I have attached an example screenshot.rodneybmb wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 4:16 am On the website, thre are no buttons at the top to show sheet music.

There are two methods to get to the hymns online that result in two different default displays of the music. In the method davesudweeks describes the music display defaults to the full sheet music with the interactive music player. In another method, the one that user rodneybmb may have used, the music is displayed as the lyrics only and no interactive music player. This other method is Libraries > Gospel Library > Music > Hymns (or Hymns-For Home and Church) > [hymn selection].davesudweeks wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 12:52 pmPerhaps I don't understand. By going through the Gospel Library route to the hymn books the full sheet music must be downloaded (PDF download) to see the full sheet music. To download the full sheet music, after selecting the hymn, click the vertical ellipsis menu on the right side of the menu bar. Then click 'Download' and then click 'This Page(PDF)'. The full sheet music will be displayed.
I prefer davesudsweeks' method to get the sheet music because then the music is available with the interactive music player as well as other options. The method I described is sheet music only with no interaction to play the music nor do anything else.
