Online Sign-up

I serve in a small church which has Google account for charity. We are using WhatsApp to communicate and maintain the serving schedule on Google sheet. It is quite time consumption. I am a retired developer. I developed an add-on named One link sign-up. It creates a web app front-end for brothers/sisters who knows basic browsing to sign up on available slots with a simple checkbox. Every ministry has some different requirements. Using Google sheet and a sign-up addon can provide the flexibility and the online sign-up. I publish my add-on in MarketPlace for free installation.

I’m currently working on developing an appointment system specifically for church items.

You will be basically be able schedule an appointment with a bishop or any leader for that matter. Then the app will send an sms or WhatsApp message as a reminder of the appointment.

I initially develop a broadcast message app to members of my ward through sms and just recently added support for WhatsApp.

I’m piggybacking from that system to include an appointment feature.

I would love to see JustServe add a sign up feature because then we really could have it all on one place and at least double the exposure of JustServe. Sign-ups are service so it just makes sense.

We have used signup genius in the past for a few funerals. With one funeral, in particular, it was especially helpful, as the individual who had passed wasn't actively involved in the church but the funeral luncheon was asked to be put on by our RS. It was a major community effort so sign-up genius helped us include all who wanted to help. It brought down barriers from some who had negative feelings toward the church.

I have also seen a member use MealTrain for dinner sign ups but I feel something on JustServe would really make a huge difference.
