Sealing to one parent

Trying to find some info on sealing to one parent. I am an inactive member and my wife an active member would really love to be sealed to our three kids. Can she be sealed with out me having a temple recommendation and being in active. Thank you in advance

A child is sealed to two parents, so your wife cannot be sealed to your children alone. She will need to have you with her for your children to be sealed to parents.

Your bishop would be able to help you with the actual General Handbook reference (or it is available online). And better yet, I am certain your bishop would love to help you so that you might be there with your wife when it happens.

I have a question. Me and my wife are not sealed but married legally. We have a child together. My wife hasn't lived with me since we got married. We had the opportunity once to be sealed, but because it was her first time in the temple (she just received her endowments) and she didn't understand the covenant she would be making I thought it better to wait and get married later (in a few weeks) when she understood the covenants and promises she was making. Will it be possible to be sealed to my son if she doesn't want to make and keep covenants? It's been almost a year since then and I've attempted many times to get sealed. I am faithful, I provide and want to be sealed to my son, but she may not allow that. What can be done? I assume the Lord will offer me that blessing in the next life as long as I remain faithful. Is there any relevant scriptures I should know?

You may already be on this path, but I'd encourage you to take this same question to your Bishop. As described in General Handbook 7.1.3, the Bishop is called and set apart with priesthood keys to provide spiritual guidance with weighty personal problems. This question has come up in various forms previously here in the Forum, and different quotes and references have been shared. But of at least equal if not more worth, is the personal revelation and guidance an individual member can receive through the Lord's anointed servants.
