May I ask how long it would to take for the numbers in the Family History Activity Report specifically in the section "YTD Submitters Unit Detail" to update? Is it in a month or every 3 months? Thanks in advance.

I believe it updates monthly (within the first 10 days of the month if memory serves...).

My understanding from reading many posts on the form and some experience as a Family History Leader, you need to be aware of a few things.
1. If someone "submits" a name in January and again in March, they are only counted once for the year. The number will only rise if the number of different people who have not submitted yet that year rises.
2. Reserving a name is not counted - someone must either print an ordinance card or submit the name to the temple (for the temple to do the work) in order to be counted.
3. The number can be affected by move-in and move-out data so it might be impossible for you to know exactly why the numbers are what they are on any given month since individual details are not provided to the wards and stakes.
