CNM App

Post by Attila »

Where does one find the CNM app? I'm training my STS replacement and can't find it anywhere to download. I thought it was in the Play Store.

I don't know if there is a mobile app. The Help Center article CNM Overview states; "Church Network Manager (CNM) is a web-based tool ...". Use the web browser URL http://cnm.churchofjesuschrist.org to access the CNM.

It was definitely an app. Nothing special though. More like a shell for the webpage.

When I was released as STS, I lost access so I removed it. Then I tried to find it again for the new STS and can't.

Are you sure you're not thinking about FIR? That's an app that you would have had access as a STS. FIR allows you to report problems to FM.

You can set up a shortcut to CNM so it has an icon like an app, but it's just a webpage. You use the browser to go to the page and then from the menu click "add to home screen".
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

I can confirm that there is definitely a CNM app! I still have it on a couple of computers. I can’t remember exactly how I found it originally, but I’ll have a search in the next couple of days.

And no it isn’t a shortcut.

If you use Chrome to add the shortcut as I mentioned above, it says it's installing an app. And you'll see it on your menu like an app. But if you go into settings, it won't be in your list of apps to uninstall. This should not be confused with setting a bookmark in the browser.

If you do this with Brave, the icon will have a small Brave icon in the corner. (Just like a shortcut in Windows will have the little arrow.) But Chrome doesn't do that. You only have the CNM icon.

The end result has a UI that looks a lot like the FIR app (which can be downloaded from the appropriate app store).
