Primary Activities for boys and girls roster
It was my understanding that primary children can begin attending primary activities for boys and girls in the year they turn 8, however it is only showing children who are 8 and up in the member list for each group. Is anyone else facing this problem, or are these names going to be migrated into the rolls for each group?

Re: Primary Activities for boys and girls roster
You are right about what the age is for attendance in Activity Days. Handbook 2, 11.5.2 states: "Where practical, the Primary may hold activity days for boys and girls ages 7 through 11. Children may begin attending in January of the year they turn 8."
The transition to all the recent new programs and guidance for the programs is going to take a while to properly be implemented in the online systems. Just to make sure the development teams are aware of the issues you should provide feedback through the link found at the bottom of the online page you find the problem.

There is a process running this morning that is fixing this. It should be done within the next couple of hours.

Go to Organizations > Primary.
Select Primary Activities - Boys.
Click on the Members tab.
Down at the bottom of the list on the right side there is an Add Member option.

Can you add a member to a class roster that isn't a member of the church?

Once upon a time, MLS allowed adding non-members, but that's been removed for quite some time.

I have boys on my primary activities roster that are young men age. They have a star by their names indicating they are out of their default class but I cannot move them. How can I fix my roster to reflect the boys and girls that are supposed to be in this group?

Re: Primary Activities for boys and girls roster
If your calling is in the Primary organization your permissions are limited to managing class assignments within Primary. Moving young men out of a Primary class into a Young Men class requires someone with broader permissions. Your ward clerk and assistant ward clerk - membership have the permissions needed to edit the class assignments. Even bishopric counselors, who are technology competent, also have the necessary permissions to make the class assignment edits. Speak to your ward clerk, assistant ward clerk - membership, or a bishopric counselor to assist you in getting the class assignments edited.skoyle94 wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 8:41 am I have boys on my primary activities roster that are young men age. Re: Primary Activities for boys and girls roster
I did find a way to do it even as a primary leader. You need to be on the member profile. You can get there from the class list by clicking on their name. On the profile go to the Callings/Classes tab, click the edit pencil for the Primary Activities class, click Reset, then click Save and it will remove that class.
