Family listing in mobile version Member Tools app is missing

The 'Family' tab is not showing up in the mobile Member Tools app. I can see it on the desktop but not on my phone.

What exactly are you looking for? If I go to "Directory" (where I can sort by Name or Household), select an individual, there's an option for "Household".

Household only shows person living in the household. The Family shows parents and children of the member selected.

What is your calling? I think you have to have rights to membership records to see that.

Since I don't have those rights, I'm not 100% sure the app supports that.

Here is the most recent update summary from the Google Play Store for Member Tools (Nov 12, 2025):

"Family Section on Profile
Members can now see a list of their parents and children, even those not living with them, on the new 'Family' tab in their profiles."

Individuals should be able to see this tab, regardless of calling, for their own family only. I have seen this tab after it was released, and now today looking in Tools, I see what @GeneMarshall is seeing (or rather, not seeing) - the Family tab is not there under my profile in Tools, even after a data refresh. (Android 16, Tools v5.4.2). Leaving feedback within the app would be appropriate.

I am a membership clerk so I should be able to see the family tab for all members in my unit.

In a response to my feedback support said the missing information is being worked by the ICS development team.

Thank you for reaching out. The Church is evaluating current policies related to information associated with membership records, and as a result, the Family tab feature in Member Tools is not available.

Obviously somebody jumped the gun and/or it was not run past the legal department first.

Yeah, I could see how in some situations this could become contentious. Unlike FamilySearch, the membership system seems to only allow one pair of parents/legal guardian.
