Can’t create post on unit history
I have recently been called as an assistant secretary in the relief society. Our relief society President asked me to post the relief society history to the unit history. But, the system is not giving me the create post box. Is there a way to get the system to allow me to post? I asked our ward clerk, but he said he didn’t know how to do that.

It might be useful to ask your ward clerk whether your calling is recorded as a standard calling vs. a custom calling. In LCR, access rights are normally granted only via standard callings. It has been moved from where it was a few months ago, but LCR should still have a table that specifies what callings bestow LCR access rights. Then again, unit history access might differ from LCR access.

In LCR, the access table is now under Help -> Feature Access by Calling.

Re: Can’t create post on unit history
Were you able to get to the unit history home page at https://unithistory.churchofjesuschrist.org/? If you can access to that webpage then stories are added by clicking Create Story on the menu bar.
If you don't have access to the unit history home page, or the Create Story menu item is not present, then it is most likely because your calling does not have access permissions to create a story. The unit history FAQ lists access to the RS presidency (including secretary). There is no mention of assistant secretaries having access.

Yes, I can get to the unit history page and see posts, but I don’t have an option to create story. My calling must not have permission I guess. Is there any way to change that?

Access is granted by callings. No one can add callings for access nor add an individual. You'll just have to tell your RS president you do not have permissions necessary to add a story.

Re: Can’t create post on unit history
The first step is to make sure your calling is accurately recorded. It has to be a standard position, not a custom one.
Failing that, ask to be called as a ward history specialist.
