I believe Dave’s comment defined what we are experiencing and feeling. I do question how does this help minister to the one? I have seen in my ward where one or two of people do a lot more work to keep the others involved in their circle with some either feeling left out don’t want to be bothered by it.

The idea of “ministering circles” may be coming from a well-meaning place, perhaps an effort to ensure connection or organization, but if it starts feeling like a return to rigid structure, like checklists or assigned group responsibilities rather than individual, Spirit-directed ministering, it may not align with what leadership intended. It feels like assignments made for convenience, not inspiration. There is also a Lack of follow-up or support from Relief Society presidency. “Circles” feel like cliques or are too big to be personal. The gap has been communicated in our ward but has fallen on deaf ears.

I came looking for answers on this. I’m instead giving reasons.
We are having zero success in general with people ministering at all. We are trying the circles because we feel like something has to be better than nothing. Right?
I don’t feel like it’s going against anything and felt really good when we prayed about it. But tbh I’m not sure how it can work. I was hoping someone had some good ideas on how to actually do it.
We did assign a lead ministering sister to each group. We were wanting that sister to get everyone together. Hoping that they will/can find friendships within that circle and naturally minister to each other. Is that too crazy of an idea? Isn’t that the direction that the church would love to go? People naturally going after the one without being assigned? Just loving others because we see the need? Am i living in a dream world?

From what I've seen, everyone would be happy to minister to the bishop's wife, but few would notice that sister who sits in the back row, rarely participates, and hasn't attended in 3 weeks. Out of sight, out of mind.

There are some sisters who would notice, but they tend to be in short supply.
