I am a new convert and had both my grandfathers and grandmothers reserved to perform ordinances on - I planned to perform them for my grandmothers and I had asked a close friend from my ward to stand in for my grandfathers. I had all 4 names reserved as of 10/25/25. I went to print the cards to take to the temple this past weekend only to find one of my grandfathers had been baptized and confirmed in The Snowflake AZ Temple and his Initiatory was done in the Portland OR Temple in 11/25. I am the only person in 3 generations of my family that is a member of the church and my grandfather passed in ‘93, not to mentioned I had his name reserved for these ordinances. How do I go about determining who performed these? I’d really like to know who they spoke with that is a direct descendent of my grandfather that gave them permission because it took me months to get my Dad to give his approval.
Don’t get me wrong, I am very happy the ordinances were performed. It’s just frustrating that I had the name reserved, he hasn’t been gone for 110+ years and my dad, nor my 1 living aunt gave anyone other than me permission to do this.
How to identify who performed ordinances?

Re: How to identify who performed ordinances?
How long had the names been reserved for? At some point the reservation will lapse and it will be released to the temple.

This article explains the various expiration dates for reservations:

If you reserved the names in the traditional way (not via Ordinances Ready, etc.), I'd expect them to be reserved for 2 years.
