This sounds somewhat similar to the challenges faced in this thread viewtopic.php?t=46706 ... I am the clerk for an overseas Military ward, and we have a couple pairs of Military Relations senior missionaries who seem to have almost no access to view members' profile information and other information specific to our unit.
I have them loaded as OOU members, and the rest of the ward sees that profile in our Tools app/online/LCR ... but the senior missionaries are not able to see any of our ward's members. Having nobody's information is making it very difficult for them to be effective in their 'Military Relations' call to serve....
Is there a way for me to grant specific individuals access to certain features within Tools/LCR? With feature access generally driven by callings, our only guess at how we can grant them access would be to tell the system that they are "called" as an assistant ward clerk, or some other ward leadership position. But our bishopric doesn't view that as an appropriate assignment for our senior missionaries, and we're uncomfortable 'tricking' the LCR system like that.
Any advice/expertise on the best way forward?

Out-of-unit members should have access to see the same information as the ward general membership (those without callings). They should have access to the online Ward Directory and Map and see the directory in the Member Tools mobile app. They will not have access to Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR).
Make sure they are selecting your unit once they are logged onto the Church website or onto Member Tools. Their home unit is selected by default. If they do not have the option to select your unit or their home unit and they do not have access to your unit Ward Directory and Maps nor your unit directory in Member Tools then there may be something amiss with their out-of-unit record.
As was discussed in that other topic thread, the mission office needs to assign them to your unit for them to have all the access any teaching missionary would have.
Make sure they are selecting your unit once they are logged onto the Church website or onto Member Tools. Their home unit is selected by default. If they do not have the option to select your unit or their home unit and they do not have access to your unit Ward Directory and Maps nor your unit directory in Member Tools then there may be something amiss with their out-of-unit record.
No. All access beyond general membership access is by calling. No one should be given a leadership position in LCR to circumvent access limitations. JD, that helps alot -- thank you for the quick response! I'll try to work with them some more to figure it out. I just learned that the problem is only a factor for ONE of our two senior couples, so we probably just need to do some troubleshooting & maybe talk to the mission office. Just a thought - Has the one with access problems checked to make sure their membership record number (MRN) is recorded in their Church Account profile?
