Double Transfers from CHQ on 12/12/10

#1

Post by elbarto00-p40 »

I have noticed that there are two transfers by CHQ on 12 Dec 2010 for the same about for all of the categories (Tithing, Fast Offerings, Book of Mormon, etc) that CHQ normally automatically transfers out.

For example, a member had contributed $2 to Book of Mormon but I am seeing two transfer entries from CHQ for that same date for -$2 each. This is causing the I&E Report to show negative amounts in all of those categories.

Is anyone else seeing this issue?

For some reason, did your unit have to reenter that donation batch and forget to tell CHQ?

I got the double transfer as well. Put me negative on all my income categories that had donations that day. Great timing since I'm trying to close out the finances as part of our discontinuation. I just hope it gets resolved soon.

Our Stake had a CUBS conference call today. The Stake Clerk asked if there were any other questions and one came up about negative balances showing in Tithing, Fast Offerings, etc. After the call, I checked our Ward's Income and Expense Report and all the auto transfer categories were negative. After looking at the detail, the culprit was the auto transfers on 12 Dec 2010. And no, we did not do our batch twice that day :). This seems like a CHQ error.

No, we did not reenter the batch.

Today (12/21) I did a Send/Receive and I've noticed that the batch for 12/19/10 is fine. There is only a single transfer. However, the double transfer for 12/12/10 is still there.

I just got off the phone with LUS. The representative said don't worry about the issue, it is being fixed at CHQ. He said there were a few thousand units that were affected. So as uncomfortable as it makes all of us, sit tight.

I did a transmission last night and the double transfer was fixed. I don't know if we got moved to the head of the line due to our discontinuation, or if they are working through the list and our turn was up.

UPDATE: I called CHQ and he told me that their end looked fine and he told me that he set up our ward to that it would receive some sort of refresh. I did a transmission and it did take a while to update the finances but I now see new transfers that correct this issue.
