I would note that the locations are still useful in Month view, so I don't like the idea of hiding them:
they serve as a legend to tell you which color location icons correspond to which locations
they give you a dropdown that lets you contact the building scheduler, edit the location (if you have permissions to do so), or change the color associated with the location.

It looks like you haven't read the earlier posts on this thread. The checkboxes still exist in v2; it's just that they only exist in Week view. The Month view has indeed lost the capability for selecting locations with checkboxes. However, you can do everything in Week view that you can do in Month view, so you haven't fundamentally lost that ability. I will certainly agree, however, that some operations become significantly more tedious when you have to wade through many weeks to gather the information that used to be available by looking at a month or two.
