Thank you.

I will look, however I can't trigger the issue unless both buildings are selected, so I am not really sure how I am going to identify the issue.

I don't recall a solution being presented if there was a single event that was generating the error. Is the thought that there is some character in the data that is throwing the error? Is the thought that there is some corruption in the data that is not user accessible and editable and I need to try and delete and re-enter the event? That may be a little bit of a challenge as I don't have access rights to edit any events in either building, so I will need to find out which building and then which ward the event is associated with. I can then contact a clerk in the ward and have them try to re-enter the event.

I will report back my findings.

If I were you, I would not worry about it because you cannot edit the calendars that seem to trigger the problem in your case. You may have found a different variant of the bug, or a different bug.

Back around post #59 in this thread, and a few before, you will find the closest to any detail that was found. As I quickly reread the posts, the problem seemed to be on stake calendars, and related to repeating events. If you reread about 4-5 posts back there you should get a feel for the theory.

But unless a really big light bulb turns on as you read the posts, I would not really think it worth the effort, at this point, for you to do much since you would have to work through a ward editor to make changes and test things.

That said, if you have the time and inclination and think you might find something, feel free. If you can make a change to the building calendar that makes the problem go away, and then change it back and trigger the problem again, it would be worth sending details to the development team.

Sorry, data is temporarily not available for this application

I'm still having the same error: "Sorry, data is temporarily not available for this application". The application show the message when it is loading, so I cannot enter and made any changes to fix it.

I am a Stake Clerk and on the calendar almost daily the last few months working on the 2012 calendars for our stake. This error started for me on 10/29 after the upgrade to Ver 2 of the calendar. I get it with trying to delete the extra events that were created when the system transitioned our Ver 1 calendars into Ver 2. The system kept the original repeating events and the changed ones in the series when it transitioned them. I was able to fix all of the but two. These two both give this error message ("Sorry, data is temporarily not available for this application") when I try to delete them. This happens in both Google Chrome and IE9. It seems like these two events are corrupted in some way, because I was able to delete others in the series. So how do I delete them now????

I've read through a lot of this thread, but not all of it, so if this has already been answered, I apologize. I'm trying to import events from an iCal calendar, but I get this error when I go to the Setup & Import page on step 2 (Import Events). It keeps looking like it's trying to load the classic calendar events, but it never finishes. I also don't see a link on that page for importing iCal calendars. I'm assuming that link would show up in the same section as the classic calendar events. I've tried this with the same results on multiple computers, multiple OSes, multiple browers, and multiple LDS.org accounts.

Has anyone else seen this error when trying to do an import of iCal or classic calendar events, or does anyone have an update as to when the issue might be fixed?

I cannot delete the entire calender because after login I received the message: "Sorry... data not available (error!)". I guess if some calendar administrator could delete it for me.

I'm guessing that you are a calendar administrator for your ward or stake if you were thinking you could delete a calendar. But if you were responding to this post, I would note some things:
  1. Deleting a calendar is a rather drastic move -- I would recommend that you make sure that you've tried everything else before you do that, unless the calendar in question is truly unimportant, or so small that it can be recreated easily.
  2. If you get the "Sorry... data not available (error!)" message after login and cannot do anything at all with the calendar, is that something everyone in your ward or stake experiences, or is it unique to you?
  3. Work with another calendar administrator. See if he can duplicate the problem you are facing, and try to narrow it down. If you can work together to narrow it down, perhaps you can delete an event or two that is problematic.
There are a couple of Church employees who monitor this forum who could possibly help you, but I'd recommend that you work with people at your local level to narrow down the problem and maybe even fix it.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

Now when I try to delete the event that was giving this error, I get the error and then when I close that popup window the main calendar window gives a timer icon that goes on forever and I have to just kill the whole session (I believe others where also seeing this issue). So it has gone from bad to worse for me!

I am also getting this error. It may have started when I tried to copy an event from one date to another rather than create a new event. But now I have this one event in 2012 that needs to be adjusted and I cannot edit or delete it. So I'm very close to trashing the whole calendar and starting over. Yes, it's drastic, but if I can fix the problem RIGHT NOW then I'm ready to do it. I've been dealing with this for too long already.
