Direct Contributions

A member would like to send their church contributions, such as tithing and fast offereings, directly to the church. Has anyone dealt with this before? Is this simply a matter of contacting the church directly or is there more to it? Where do I find more information on this?

On THIS page from lds.org, the Church provides information on donating stock and other securities. There is also contact information there and my experience is I've found them to be helpful and knowledgeable in these sorts of things.

The forum is publicly viewable worldwide. It is user-to-user discussion and collaborative self help. No one here can provide those documents. Since you posted in a topic thread discussing direct contributions to the Church, then I am guessing you did not get your statements from the Church. If so, then you need to use the same contact information you used to set up your direct contributions to get your statements. If you do not recall the contact information then take a look at the Help Center article Other Donation Methods for further information and contact information for the different kinds of direct contributions.

If you made your contributions online then go to the Donations page and select 'Donor Statements' to see your current (Official Tax Statement (2024)) and past year (Official Tax Statement (2023)) donations statements.

If you made donations directly to your unit but do not see any statements at the online Donations page, then contact your unit clerk for the statements. Note; any donations not recorded using your membership record number (MRN) will not appear online at the Donations page. Only your unit clerk can work with you to determine how your donations may have been recorded.
