Hello All,
I'm a Stake Technology Specialist. Does the mission office fall under my jurisdiction?
I understand that I am responsible for all chapel technology (computers, A/V, networking, etc) and all Family History Center technology. What about the mission office? Bishops' store house and social services office? Facilities Maintenance Group office?
If I'm not responsible for providing technology support to the mission office, who is?
Thanks.
Justin

Re: Stake Technology Specialist and Mission Offices
You are only responsible for the buildings that house the wards, branches, and stake offices in your stake, including any family history centers that your stake is the agent stake for. The basic rule is that if your stake president has direct responsibility for the organizations in the building, then you are responsible for that technology.
The mission, bishop's storehouse, social services, FM group, etc., are not within your stake president's direct responsibility, so other people will handle their technology. It's a good question as to who is responsible for technology for them (and I don't know the specific answers), but it's not you. You've got enough to do just within your stake.
You can find the policy here; note that it talks only about the stake, wards/branches, and FHCs.
